    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

”Grose.” To emphasize how disgusted she was the expression on her face wasn’t all that lady like either. The last droplets of water fell from her lips just before she leaned down to wipe her muzzle on the grass, still frowning somewhat. Kyleigh had copied the adults by attempting to drink water, but the newborn girl soon found out that she did not like the taste at all. With a small pout adorning her lips she gazed across the small pool that laid centred in the Cove, watching her own reflection in the silvery water.

Although she liked looking at herself – which lady didn’t? – the bay filly was soon bored again. Boredom had driven her away from her mother’s side in the first place, curious to discover her home by herself, but quite disappointed by her first discovery. Therefor the sigh that escaped from her lips was a disappointed and slightly irritated one. It didn’t please Kyleigh at all, but the silver glittering in the distance soon catches her attention.

Within no time she finds herself nearing the iron statue, laminated by the silver moonlight. Kyleigh’s ears are pinned forward, curious and delighted by what she sees. Of course she had seen the statue before, but her mother had never lead her close to it. She wasn’t really sure if she was allowed to near it or not, but without anybody around to stop her she didn’t really care about that. What the adult’s didn’t know, couldn’t harm them (or her in this case).

Her steps are a little hesitant, almost careful even, like she’s afraid that the statue might come alive. Yet it doesn’t stop her. Her breathing is shallow, barely making a sound, as her eyes take in the iron horse with amazement. But it isn’t until she comes to a halt, approximately 10 meters in front of the statue, that she realises. Her mother had mentioned him, but she would’ve never guessed. Her voice is barely a whisper as she breathes out his name. ”Khaos.”

    "Why would you do that?"

The lavender filly watched intently as her aunt/sister dipped the frigid water. Ears perked and head tilted quizzically. Asvin's bold brown eyes twinkled with mirth and curiosity. She had seen the bay girl before but had never left her mother's side long enough for an introduction.

"My name's Asvin. Who are you?"

The girl stepped forward splashing into the water, momentarily distracted by the liquid. She splashes a little bit longer before sidling up to her family member. Her delicate nostrils flare briefly as she sniffs the other girl, committing her smell to memory. Doe eyes follow the other girls gaze to the imposing statue of their god and guardian on the crest of the hill.

"Doesn't he scare you a little bit? He must have done something real bad to be made a statue."

    Ooc: on my phone sorry!

The sudden voice startles her, causing her eyes and nostrils to momentarily widen and flare. After she has collected herself she curiously looks at the lavender girl, her head tilting a little to the side as she does so. ”All the adults do it too..” she replies, muttering a little. Her voice still displaying some of her prior disappointment.

Kyleigh watches the lavender filly as she steps into the water. The purple color gives away that she’s one of big brother’s children, somehow all his offspring seems to be granted with such favour. Compared to that her own dark bay coat almost seemed dull, but Kyleigh couldn’t bring herself to care. She looked like her mother and that was a good thing.

”I’m Kyleigh. she introduces herself, moments after the girls had shared their scents with each other. Her ears are still perked forward as she studies the much lighter girl, before reaching out to brush her muzzle lightly across her cheek.

She pauses, gazing at the statue that stands in the distance. ”He does?” Her voice is soft, light in the air as she repeats her sister’s/niece’s words. ”Or he has done something great and he is now master of time and space, as nothing influences him anymore.” Kyleigh’s gaze moves back to meet the one of her lavender family member, blinking a few times as she pauses to learn what the other girl might think of her option.
