She finally gets to visit the playground!!

In a fit of pure excitement, little Eli skips across the border of the playground. She’s been begging her Ima for what feels like aaaaaaages and aaaaaaaaaaages for permission to visit the playground (though really it’s only been a few days), and finally her Ima has relented. Which means that she can finally visit the playground and make some new friends!

The Deserts have been dreadfully boring as of late, especially since she doesn’t have many foals her age to play with (though her Ima’s animal friends are lovely too!). She’s simply dying to meet someone her own age. She’d heard that the playground is a place where many foals come to play and she knows that it will be the perfect place for her to look for more foals. 

There’s no one in sight when she first crosses the border of the little territory, so she waltzes over the side of a little pond to start paddling around. The pond doesn’t have any of the Deserts’ colourful fish, but it’s cool and refreshing and the pond weeds tickle her belly in a funny way that makes her giggle. She contents herself with splashing around, but she keeps an eye out for any movement nearby. She knows, just knows, that her new best friend (or friends!) could be along at any moment.
