    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

    "But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    cat scratch fever { LAGERTHA, ANY }
    #1

    It was not long ago the jungle faced war, the trees were still damaged yet some flora managed to start peeking out from the darkened earth, and underbrush began to come back. This pleased the panther woman, though her mind was not totally pleased since she had one large lifeless charred body hanging from her maw.

    She dragged it along the rejuvenating rain forest floor, keeping her mind on her task.

    don't think about the bodies, don't think about the bodies, just think about how much more comfortable the kingdom would be when you've finished cleaning it up. she thought to herself as she went along.

    Though she knew it was important, seeing as all the carnage was going to attract other big cats to the kingdom or even spread disease, and of course that would be no good.

    She did take Lagertha's words seriously, finding hungry carnivores. She, being a panther shifter, had met a few panthers in her day and knew where they liked to hunt. So that was where she was headed. Just outside the kingdom boarder, deep in the forest, she had dragged the body through to a large rock. A sunning rock, a place that most the big, and small, jungle cats went to sun themselves. She dropped it from her mouth, making a face as the taste hit her.

    "....yuck"

    Then she turned back around, running now, to make good time to go back and grab the last body from the kingdom, one that was grossly positioned just beside their most used water source.

    She padded toward it, she mentally readied herself, then grabbed it up, and dragged that one to the sunning rock as well. When she arrived, she noticed the other body had already been swiped. Pretty good idea she guessed, as she set the other body down. That was it, she was done. The others she had dispersed over a cliff she knew of that went down into an unused gorge far from their home and water sources. She knew Lagertha would be pleased to see there were no more of them in the kingdom.

    She finally made her way back from her last delivery, and sat down at the edge of the water, picking up a paw and giving it a good grooming.

    "Well!! That was pretty...great. At least it is done, I am glad I finally got all of them out. It took days!"

    She said it out loud without realizing it, but it was true, she was finally glad it was done with. Now she could take a well needed breather.
