i counted the stars tonight, i gathered them all
She looks from one horse to the other. The colt asking a question. A question that she does not care to answer at first. Then she thinks better of herself. Is there anything to be thrilled about? She retorts, every word precise and uncaring. The words themselves would have sounded bitter even venamous, but her tone of voice takes the bitter tinge out of it, replacing it with a absent curiousity. There was no reason to feel an malice towards the strange colt. No this was a simple question. She saw nothing exciting here, no reason to feel a blood pumping thrill. Except... she looks to the stars once more when she is startled out of her revere.
Hello She eyes the new member of the little group. She looked as their mother did, this chastises her for her guilty pleasure of looking to the stars. For the first time she falters slightly, uncertianty lingering in her eyes. What if she told on Oricle? What would mother do to her? She had no desire to displease the only horse she looked up to. Still she bites her tongue, no reason to let the plea for mercy slip from her lips. If this girl didn't know of the rule that was imposed on her, then maybe it could remain her secret.
Yet this sister, she doesn't know, at least she doesn't remember perfectly, not like she remembered her mother. But something deep inside her tells her that this is family. The red spotted filly does the strangest thing she had done since her birth. She smiled. Not a large one, not one that was ear splitting, just a gentle curve of her lips as they remained firmly closed. For a moment she isn't sure what to do. In that moment she looses control of her abilities and dissapears into unfocused shadows. Flickering back into sight, she knows not of what she had done. Just that she hoped that each would state their business so that she could go back to longing for her stars.
