    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Esileif
    BELGARATH x ALASIA
Years had passed since both Magnus and Fennick had approached her in the field. She had been looking for a home and hadn’t been more than a spoiled brat. She had been lost in a crack of time too, somehow, as life seemed to have continued while she had been standing still. It had confused her, especially when she had learned that her father’s herd was long gone. Nonetheless had she listened to both the stallions, taking in their words.

She had wanted to stand on the winning side of the war, to be the winner, and to prove her worth. Things had gone differently though. First Fynnegan had appeared and although their first meeting hadn’t been much of a success, she had ended up living in his herd for a short while. It was during her time in Echo Trails that the thing had happened to her. Somehow she had been chosen to defend their world, to keep demons in their own world. Esileif didn’t remember it all clearly anymore, at last not how she had ended up there, but her memories of Conquest were very clear. His fellow demon brothers were pushed further away in her thoughts.

How could she not remember Conquest? He was the only reason why the graying colt was at her side now. Rhavi wasn’t really a colt anymore, having turned aged a year by now, but she made sure to keep him depending on her no matter what. He was her prize, her gift, her weapon. The flaming an firebreathing child could be the thing that would help her succeed. Esileif was sure that her father already favoured the boy, even though her father’s ice stood right across Rhavi’s fire, but what she truly wanted was that her father noticed her. Belgarath was one hard case to please, she would try nonetheless.

Finally she had been able to make a decision. And that decision had brought her to the border of the Valley. As the bay and orangey white tobiano mare crosses the border of the kingdom she holds her head high, standing proud and tall. She doesn’t walk in far, just enough to show her seriousness, but not stupid enough to boldly waltz in. Rhavi – whose flaming mane and tail dance in the wind – stops besides her, head at the height of her shoulder to clearly express his respect to his mother. The glowing seal on his forehead clearly visible whenever the wind pulled on his flaming forelock.
if certain, when this life was out that yours and mine should be
id toss it yonder like a rind and taste eternity

OOC: Posting Esileif and Rhavi in one post.
Rhavi is my Esileif quest baby from the bellringer quest. His father was one of the demons, his stats are here for any interested in how he looks: Rhavi stats
