Noah was conceived quite on accident from a brief dalliance between her father Rhonen, who was trying to recover from being rejected by a man he thought he loved, and Kellyn, who seduced him for fun. Neither intended to have a child out of the relationship, and after she gave birth Kellyn only kept Noah long enough to keep her alive before dumping her on Rhonen, without even naming the filly.

Rhonen, suffering from his own depression and heartbreak, raised Noah largely isolated in the Meadow. They kept to themselves, though Rhonen told her many stories about both sides of her family and very occasionally introduced her to friends they came across.

When Carnage sent out the call to quest, Noah was old enough to be curious about her great-grandfather, and so she went to Pangea for him. She wasn't disillusioned when she became very sick, because she thought it was temporary. She was also very enraptured by her new gift of Flora Revival, because her father had always hated their other gift of Disease Manipulation, believing it more of a curse than a gift and fearing it. He wasn't afraid of the flora revival, and so she loved it. In her delirious sickness, she dreamed about going to Pangea and using her new gift to make it beautiful again, and giving them a new home.

While they were there, Carnage summoned the mob to kill Rhonen, and Noah saw it happen. There was nothing she could do to stop it, and she was whisked away by Nihlus, the man who had broken her father's heart, by astral projection. He took her home to Ischia, where she met her other great-grandfather, Brennen, but their world was quickly turned upside down again by the plague, and she slipped away from Ischia and started wandering alone, unable to comprehend her father's murder.

She arrived in the newly risen Brilliant Pampas, and fell in love. Noah agreed to serve as healer for the refugees of Loess and backed Loess' leaders lepis and Wolfbane against Sylva's Arthas in exchange for the agreement than when the Loessians went home, she could keep Briliant Pampas as a herd.
