FATHER: Yanhua, a goat-horned stallion and once-guardian of the territory known as ‘Taiga’.
MOTHER: Amarine, a butterfly-winged pegasus mare who braved perilous quests to save Beqanna from a never-ending eclipse.

BORN IN: Taiga, a fog-ridden northern forest overgrown with ancient redwoods and transformed by magic into a land of mythos and wonder. Cheri grew up among the pines as part of a tight-knit family clan, during the time of eternal darkness (known to all as ‘The Eclipse’).

YOUTH: She grew in beauty and love, finding her first romantic experience with a young stallion named Targaryen. Cheri found the spotted stallion by the River and saved him using her healing powers, eventually taking him as her first lover. She forged many friendships and alliances in her youth, with notable characters like Anubias, Starlore, and Sorren flickering in-and-out of the picture. This was also when she first met Obscene - a dark fae-like stallion who would find himself intertwined with Cheri time and time again.

ADULTHOOD: Cheri pledged allegiance to a Kingdom known as ‘Loess’, which itself encompassed the entire southern region of Beqanna. There she studied under the tutelage of the previous Queen Oceane, who eventually named her heir apparent. During this time a notable enemy called Gale began to ravage the lands, taking power alongside Hyaline's Queen, named Mazikeen. These dark days saw the disappearance of the young princess' entire family, leaving her torn between duty and heartache. Much of Cheri’s time during this era was spent trying to bind the Northern and Southern lands together as an attempt to stonewall the growing threat to the East, which proved unsuccessful.

Throughout, Cheri began to manifest more power. In the end she became aware of her latent magical abilities, thanks to prodding from characters like Reave and continuous interactions with the Fae Lord Obscene. Most notably was a rekindling of feelings between herself and a strange stallion called Sorren, who Cheri plucked from the doorstep of death and took as her second lover. Despite all of this, she and the Fae Prince Obscene would fall prey to a glitch in Cheri's magic and be pulled into a twilight zone - forcing her to abandon the Southern Kingdom and her life as she knew it.

Over a year later Cheri returned with Obscene, nearly dead from being drained of all her power. A long-time acquaintance (and once-enemy) named Aela found the two in the area of Beqanna known as The Ruins, where she told them Loess, Cheri's Kingdom, had fallen into the sea during a natural disaster. Knowing that strange creatures called 'Baltians' inhabited the ocean there, the three headed back to Taiga where they quickly took control. It was during this time that Cheri opened up to her once-rival, and the two worked together to cast Cheri's first ever spell.

CURRENT: Now, Cheri slips back into the world she once knew with unexpected allies and strange new enemies. Will her dreams of restoring Loess find root in reality, or will they fade away in the light of something unexpected yet to come?
