Mandan was conceived in the Meadow, born in the Meadow, and predominantly raised in the Meadow.

He remembers meeting a stallion named Finnley when he was a yearling and still tagging along with Scalped. They were offered a home in the Gates but the two of them left Beqanna to see Scalped's birthplace and Mandan lived there for a time. He tried to take up with wild herds of horses but they shunned him because of his addax horns, so he took up with a herd of antelope for a while before deciding their company wasn't enough. He then returned to Beqanna, to the Meadow of course and meet Ygritte whom he quickly fell in love with. They are expecting their first foal together.

He's also had a run-in with his older half-brother Arzi, recognizing the stamp of Scalped's get upon him and unable to overlook the fact that his half-brother shares their mother's chestnut coloring. They met by happenstance while meeting a lovely rose gray mare named Vineine.

Now Mandan is a denizen of the Falls at his beloved's request. He even tried to be a helpful Falls resident and recruit then eventually he became more distant and took to wandering off a bit and eventually had three indiscretions with three different mares resulting in the birth of a daughter and two sons all in the same season. Realizing this, he disappeared altogether and only returned to collect his firstborn son Yellowstone whom he mostly raised outside of Beqanna due to the colt's unique coloring and addition of wings.

He has since returned now that Yellowstone is almost two years old and they've gone their separate ways.

His first love, Ygritte, ended up falling in love with someone else and breaking his heart. Love forsworn; he disappeared and had multiple indiscretions with mares that meant nothing to him. Sometimes he came back but most of the time he stayed gone. During one of the times that he came back, he met a mare named Exist and the rest, as they say, is history. He fell head over heels in love with her - fell hard and hadn’t looked back since that moment he first laid eyes on her. She has slowly melted his heart to the point that today, he’s actually happy in the Brilliant Pampas as long as she is around to put a smile on his face.
