Sinner the king of sylva RE: Searching for the Neon path || Sinner, Mary || - Mary - 01-06-2019 Mary
Mary has gradually slowed her diplomatic duties as she grows more heavily pregnant. She was nearing the end as her dappled stomach was enlarged with a baby inside. She had so many wonders for the unborn child, curious if it would have hound shifting abilities like her father...perhaps color changing. The options were endless but her daydreaming came to an end as a familiar scent ran through her nares. Her ears perked up as the yellow and blue stallion came to mind, but she quickly rolls her eyes as the scent of Lepis followed. There was much left unsaid between the two, but for the sake of the alliance she would behave. As she made her way to the Loessian royals Sinner's scent was detected and she quickly grew excited for this conversation. Bane said he would visit when the alliance was first agreed upon, but it seems today was finally the day to follow through. As she reaches the group of equines she spots what she expects to be Bane and Lepis' child as he promised. She finds a spot beside Sinner as he finishes greeting them, joking that they would never arrive. A smile tugged at her lips as her gaze scanned them all, settling on Bane. He was charming as usual, and she wonders what he would think of the very pregnant mare. He has known her since she was a child, and now she carries one of her own. So nice of you all to visit Sylva she greets in a less sarcastic tone than Sinner. Long May She Reign
.@[Lepis] RE: Searching for the Neon path || Sinner, Mary || - Pteron - 01-08-2019 Pteron has never left the Brilliant Pampas before. Every step of the journey to Sylva wss full of wonderous things, and the pale colt took them all in with wide eyes. His lessons on invisibility aside, the almost-yearling has had a thrilling expedition, and he is not ready for it to end with something so boring as a rest. Pteron is about to say as much when the sound of footsteps distracts him, and he turns toward the direction they come from with his ears perked inquisitively in his icy blue mane. It's two strangers, one a mare and the other a creature he has no name for. He glances up at his father, who seems undisturbed by their arrival, and so sets his own thin shoulders in an equally confident stance, a minature copy of Wolfbane despite their varied colors. Both of the strangers act as though they know Momma and Dad, so young Pteron assumes that they must be the Sinner and Mary that they are here to see. The young pegasus only knows what his mother had told him about the autumnal kingdom - avoid it by any means necessary - and he is rather surprised by the lack of blood on them both. Well, the creature smells of old blood, but the mare that is round like Mom doesn't look at all like the ravenous monster that Pteron thought all Sylvans must resemble. He is about to say this when his nose disappears. Instead he quietly says: "Oops" knowing that the rest of him has vanished as well. "Sorry," he adds to his mother, poking her scarred shoulder in apology. RE: Searching for the Neon path || Sinner, Mary || - Lepis - 01-08-2019 Given the choice, Lepis would have much rather stayed behind in Brilliant Pampas. Not only because it was safer, but also because it was not Sylva. Cognizant of her husband's watchful gaze, the winged mares give him a smile, but makes no effort to hide the doubtful expression on her dun face. There is nothing about this autumn realm that she is excited to see, but she puts on enough of a fascade that Pteron is no wiser. She wears an even more convincing mask for the pair of Sylvans. A soft smile on her navy mouth appears as Sinner and Mary arrive. The dappled grey mare is growing wide with child, not unlike Lepis herself. A pang of unexpected empathy rises unbidden in the blue-eyed mare, but it does not show. Is her mother still here, to help the young ruler with the trails of motherhood, the dun mare wonders? They'd never really spoken, Lepis and Rey. They'd known each other, but Lepis had never tried to develop a friendship with the color changing mare. She knows that there is a closeness between Mary and Wolfbane, first sprouted in Lepis' time away from Loess. She was captive in these very woods, while the child Mary and young Wolfbane started their friendship. It is that closeness that convinced Lepis to come, her trust in Wolfbane's assurances that this leader, at least, is not so terrible as she believes other Sylvans to be. "It is," Lepis replies to Mary, her tone suggesting that her benevolence in visiting Sylva is something to truly be appreciative of. The dun mare had once prided herself on her diplomatic skill, but after it had failed her one time too many she has chosen a simpler path. Blunt and forward, the piebald queen has abandoned any pretense that she is anything other than herself. She is not the woman that her mother had wanted her to be, but she has found happiness anyway. Just then, her son disappears, and Lepis freezes. A small voice and a touch at her shoulder reveals that Pteron has simply gone invisible again and has not, in fact, been snatched into another world. The brief tension eases away at his apology, and she shakes her head bemusedly. "Focus," she repeats, only half-remembering the lesson that Bane had been teaching their son. Her blue grey eyes focus on the space where she knows that he is, and only a few seconds after he'd vanished, the boy reappears between them, squinting hard. The feeling of confidence that she'd given him is intangible to the rest of the gathering, but it was the push that the young prince had needed to center his ability. @[Wolfbane] |
