Never enough; Rayie/Litotes - Felicitey - 08-16-2019

She had failed at magic, and the mountain had not found her worthy just yet. She was determined though, soon she would find herself on that mountain top once again. For now, however, she would have to learn to live with one failed ear and one failed eye. Where once danced a beautiful amber eye, just like her fathers, next to her crystal, sky blue one, laid a milky white blind one instead.

Her belly pulled at the red dust of Pangea's floor as she slinked between two very large canyon walls. Why did she always fail? She was not good enough for her mother, she was not good enough for her father, she was not good enough for Dijinni, or for the fairies. She would just have to prove them all wrong. She would show them that she was everything they wished she was and more. She had spent the last several weeks dancing back and forth between these two mindsets, and she was tired.

She had met at least one amongst her family that had not made her feel like a complete waste of space, her sister Rayie. Maybe she would have advice for her. Her face crinkled as a tear almost slipped from her crystal blue eye before Dexter wrapped his fingers through her golden fur which bore the rose gold markings of Dijinni. She purred softly in gratitude as she exited the closterphobic walls she had trekked through. The land opened up before her housing one of the many curving rivers that graced Pangea. Maybe she would find her sister quickly, but then maybe she wouldn't amongst this damn maze. She dropped to her belly, tucking her limbs beneath her to rest beneath the cool autum sun.

She's looking for some familial comfort. She has been without her eye for like 6months now.
