The nereids are all pretty, and if there’s anything the spotted baroque hybrid likes to see, and be near, it’s literally anything pretty. He knows he’s quite handsome himself, but nothing seems to compare to the magical beauty of the sometimes-scales ladies of the summer isle.

Seeing as the Pampas is a beautiful place too, he’d gone there and found no leader present, or, as it turns out, she just wasn’t willing to talk to him at the time. He’d drawn her out for all the bad it had done to him, and now he wondered if perhaps that had been his only purpose there. He came to see the Pampas alive. Hadn’t he, by now?
