KENSA
we were golden. we were fire. we were magic.

Her time is divided between so many inside and outside of Hyaline, there are a great many friendships to form, names to learn. This would have been occupation enough if it were not for all the things she has made a mess of lately.

The Primarch needs to slow down, to take some time in Hyaline and some company among friends. She has surprised herself with the companions that have found her favor but there are also those friendships that are as easy as breathing. Thinking of that makes her miss Dawn and she wonders if it is finally time to put aside her anger and speak to her friend again. Not even considering that it might be a good idea to be in good standing with at least one half of the crown. A visit to Pangea can wait though. Just a little longer.

Topaz eyes drift away from the smooth surface of the lake to flick across the shapes of those nearby. There is a second palomino among their number, though their build and color is very like Kelynen’s and it takes Kensa a moment to place the mare. Elaina. Has she really been so distracted as to not spend  some time getting to know the woman better. Lovely thing that she is Kensa remembers finding her very attractive when they had met, but these days her roving eye has been locked away and she cannot imagine trying to draw Elaina (or anyone else) into any kind of entanglement but friendship. Which is likely for the best.

“Elaina! Are you settling in?” Warm words that proceed Kensa’s arrival beside the mare. She would apologize for being so long in meeting with her but her heartaches are tangled in with all the other things that have kept her away and she cannot bring any other words to her tongue right away. There is an apology tucked into the corner of her genuine smile though, and she hopes that Elaina will not ever know comparable heartbreak, least of all bear all the guilt in it.
