all I ever wanted was the world; wynters and luvi - Ravin - 09-19-2025
The early spring air still has a bite to it, and Ravin’s warm breath streams past his brightly colored feathers as he ducks beneath a low hanging branch of the tightly packed conifers.
“I’m sure we’ll be out of the trees soon,” he says to his companions,
“The ground’s definitely getting steeper too.”
The young stallion has never climbed the Mountain before, but this seems like a good start. As the three of them stole farther and farther away from the Gates, the type of tree had changed, shifting from bare branched deciduous woods to evergreen conifers. As the ground grows steepier and rockier, the trees become smaller, revealing a view of the looming Mountain.
“Do you think we have to get to like…the actual top? Or is like being close enough to feel a mountain-y vibe enough?” Ravin isn’t feeling especially mountainous yet, but he glances between his friend @Wynters and then his sister, brows raised.
ooh: sorry this took so long! I kept it kinda vague so if you wanted them to be a little older we can, or we can keep hem the same age - I'm good either way :)

The black and white filly didn't have quite as much of a issue with the trees, being a bit shorter than Ravin but still having to duck a few times to get under some low hanging branches.
Her hind legs digging into the terrain as she watched where she was stepping as the path became steeper, not wanting her clumsiness to trip her up and floor her.
She stopped briefly to look up the mountain ahead of them you sure you know where your going? She questioned with a slight playful edge but with a hint of seriousness to it as well. She hadn't left the gates without her mother much and didn't want to get injured and her mother go all over protective again.
She flinched on one step, dropping her shoulder before steadying herself, head turning to look at her shoulder wondering if something had bitten her but not really seeing anything wrong. Dropping any concern on her face as to not worry her friend, her mind wasn't quite as calm though, this mystery sudden pain had been happening more and more with nothing showing on her shoulder though. It was always in the same place every single time, most of the time she could hide her reaction or brush it off as something biting her, not really knowing what was going on but not wanting to worry those around her, especially her mother.
She was distracted by her thought so much, she missed a small rock in her path, tripping over the thing as she scrambled to stop herself from nose diving the ground, managing to only just keep her face off the floor i'm ok she said quickly, her falling over herself was a common enough occurrence, at least this time she could say she actually tripped on something, unsure if that was better or worse.

Ravin @ Luvi I'm happy to follow you on their age, i just know she is 1 year younger than the twins lol

“He’s probably lost,” Luvi says under her breath, a wicked gleam in her blue-grey eyes. As though he had heard her, Ravin casts a glare over his shoulder, which Luvi responds to with a luminously innocent smile.
The idea to come to the Mountain had been her brother’s idea, though he’d been surprised that she had chosen it. If he’d been paying attention to the stories Ruhr told, Luvi thought, he’d have been less surprised. The Mountain is where magic comes from, Ruhr had told them - at least in this world. He’d said something about there being a Moon trapped within the Mountain too, but that had seemed a little too silly even to Luvi.
The young grey mare is eager to see this source of magic, but not so eager that she misses the way that Wynters looks back at her shoulder. It’s not the first time that Luvi has seen her look at that spot, but her friend has never complained of a pain or said anything, and so quiet Luvi hasn’t pried. When Wynters stumbles though, Luvi turns and presses a worried nose to Wynter’s side.
“Maybe we can go to the Waterfall when we get back?” She asks, the emphasis on the name making it clear that she refers to the one in their home. Its healing powers should help with whatever is going on with Wynters, she thinks, even if it’s not something that she wants to talk about.
“What’re you guys doing back there?”Ravin enquires, pausing his trek upward to turn and look back at the pair of young mares. Wynters had stumbled over something, probably one of the many rocks that littered the ascent up the Mountain, he thinks. “You okay?” He asks, concern in his winter-sky blue eyes.

Wynters couldn't help but chuckle at Luvi's response, she could well imagine Ravin getting lost when this was his idea. When her shoulder prickles again she catches Luvi's look, clearly she hadn't been as quiet regarding this as she thought she had. Maybe she should ask her friends.
She was clumsy, had been since a foal, she had hoped she'd get less clumsy as she got older and bigger, didn't seem like that was going to happen however. She looks at both twins and grins I'm fine, actually I avoided hitting the ground for a change she said, which was totally true because she normally did hit the floor most times.
She catches the look Luvi gives her, she nods, her playful disappearing in place of something more serious Ok, we'll do that she replies softly. She didn't know what she was going to say to Luvi, she guessed the truth would be good but it sounded so insane in her own head.
As they got higher up the mountain, the air getting cold but still perfectly manageable, she felt the prickling in her shoulder again, frowning but not looking back this time, especially since Luvi had already noticed whatever was going on.

Luvi @ Ravin (OOC: My thought is the higher up they get and closer to the source of Magic that her magical ability will suddenly reveal itself, so probably in the next post)
