There is always a sense of achievement in Aela when the memories come through. Her mother had never asked anything of her - she just spoke aloud(for what the almost-palomino filly considers her benefit). Because of the amount of time she spent with her dam, Aela has always assumed that was why Kota always knew what she was asking or what she might be thinking.
(And there is only one horse that she shares a connection with that doesn’t require the use of her echoes. The blue roan often takes on so many shapes in Taiga, Aela never knows when to expect her).
But Beyza had heard her name rippling from the Magic between them and the lopsided smile she gives the white Magician is a proud one. She has no voice but she has her gift and she is proud of this ability that allows her to speak, that makes her memories so clear. (Was there something else there, images lurking beneath the memory of Kensley?)
Only, its what the curious mare says that makes her start. Shock widens her blue eyes and the smile vanishes briefly, turning into a thin line of confusion instead. Aela has never thought of her lack of a voice as a disadvantage but… but the chance for somebody to hear her is such a startling (and exciting!) offer.
She nods her head once to make the communication between them clear and looks up to the pale woman. How?
