My existence had always been the butt of every joke. Freak, weirdo, creep. A few of many names I have come to know in my younger years. Eventually I learned to brush it off with broad shoulders and a boisterous personality. Water off a cyborg back. So, as I stand their blinded to the unspoken gestures of the world, I become a tad hostile.
He enlightens me that Red is still there, and I can only imagine the expression on her delicate face. Perhaps I looked more a freak now than ever before, but I couldn't let self-consciousness plague me now. All this shit, he finishes with, and I let out a singular huffed laugh, "Ha! Tell me about it! You know what I just saw... My FATHER and a brightly feathered mare talking about challenging for Tephra. She looked PISSED and then flew off. But they weren't like really there you know... It was like a moment in time somewhere long ago... I think." My blank eyes stare, likely off in the wrong direction, as I think to the memory that was not mine. "I guess since I can't fly right now, I should start heading back on hoof towards the Mountain with Fifi just in case they start gathering there..." My words are a bit exhausted. Fifi stirs on my back at mention of its name as I then question those gathered, "Y'all are more than welcome to come with, otherwise maybe see ya around? I mean hopefully when, IF, I get my sight back." A slight irritation returns to my voice, but I chuckle nonetheless.
