    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

in love with being noticed and afraid of being seen; Wynters

Luvi, who is not quite sure how she feels about the moon, is still visibly displeased with her brother and his comments. She’s never heard anything from the moon either, and Wynter’s words soothe a part of her that she’d not really been aware of. She’s saved from further reflection on it by her new friend’s smirk, and then the warning to her brother that he’d best be careful of the bird.

She giggles softly, and follows eagerly beside the other filly as they canter toward the stream.

Despite her small stature she is nimble, and her brightly colored legs move rapidly over the soft ground. She is as lightly built as her brother, and clears many tussocks of taller grass with leaps and bounds and quick flaps of her sunrise colored wings.

”Looks like you found the waterfall,” she says, her voice sounding somewhat strangled as she holds back a laugh at seeing the obviously uninjured but wet and muddy Wynters. As she takes a step forward to see if she might need to help, she sees from the corner of her eye that Ravin is doing the same. There will be a lot more splashing in the weeks and months to come as the three of them grow up.

    ooh: just wrapping it up!
