    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The little mare didn't know hwta lead her to the Adoption Den but something seemed to call her there begging her attention. She walked her head held high and her ears pricked forward her hazel eyes scanning the place for what or whom ever drew her here. The wind blew through her long black mane making her log forelock to go into her eyes, she flicked her head and sighed. Where could that connection be?

She walked around a little long before she spotted a little filly struggling to get up, she was so young why did her mother leave her here? Hoku shook her head and sighed some mothers should be beat on the head for how stupid they are, leaving newborns to fend for themselves, selfish on the mother's part. The mare walked over to the filly who now was sitting on her rear sniffling and looking down right pathetic, who wouldn't be when their mother abandoned them. "Whats the matter child? Are you left here alone? Poor child" Hoku said walking slowly over to the filly sitting on the ground. She got closer and she laid down to get to the fillies height her hazel eye meeting the little dark fillies eyes and she smiled softly "It's alright I wont hurt you" She said flicking her long black tail.
