    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

I don't have a choice but I'd still choose you; Contagion and Tyrna
    #12

Go lock up all your children

    She will kill you
    She will kill you
    She will kill you
    She will kill you

The words echo in her head, twined with the keening of her heart and the howl of the wolf in her blood. Sky blue eyes stare down at the creature before her filled with rage. Tyrna can smell the desperation, the fear, wafting from Adaline and it makes for a poor combination. The wolf cackled happily in his weakening prison. "you know what to do" he whispered in her ear. There was no sign of sympathy, no show of understanding in Adaline. There was no emotions left in the girl to deign to show any sign of apology for the mess she made. All that was left were Adaline's need for Contagion and Tyrna's hurt.

Her anger was all too easy to justify. Adaline had not loved him as she had. She couldn't. Adaline had not watched Contagion ripped apart by the very thing she was. His sister had not seen her child killed in front of her while all she could do was watch. Adaline did not know the relief and joy and pain and overwhelming love that came with coming back to him. Not like Tyrna did. Still the glass girl had the audacity to throw accusations around like it was nothing. Like the cuts they caused were something Tyrna didn't think about every time she saw Contagion.

She will kill you. She's dangerous.

Her maw is filled with fangs and her vision begins to blur, red tinging the edges. Contagion has moved to stand between them, shielding his sister. The simple act between a concerned brother and injured sister does nothing to quiet the ragged hurt. Everyone said she was so strong, she didn't need the help because she could take care of herself. This time she couldn't. Tyrna felt her control slipping through the cracks of her fragile mind, and all in the name of Love.

She feels her bones twist and snap, reforming, as thick fur bursts from her skin. Her hooves are replaced with claws, her limbs reform into a more agile shape, and soon enough in her place stands the wolf. It is a proud creature, lithe, and dark, and angry. The horns stand proudly atop it's head, dark wings stand half open waiting to pounce.

The wolf waits, blue eyes glowing, as he stares down the helpless mare behind her glass shield. It smiles not unkindly at Adaline. They both know how this will end. It's voice is deep and smooth like the void as it speaks to the girl.

"Oh my dear, I don't believe you know what dangerous is."

ooc: hiya! sorry it's so late! I was wondering if Contagion and Adaline wanted to get one more post in before Tyrna goes crazy?
