Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go.
It is with a smile that he sees her here amongst the Field with a smile on her face and a confident stride as she makes her way through the place almost as if she owns it. Perhaps she does. Perhaps she would find someone that would do better by her than he had so long ago, but he cannot help himself as he moves closer to her. She should have her chance to find that wildfire love he still yearned for. He finds himself not really searching, more hoping to fall into it, so he made himself approach more than he usually would.
But damn if he didn't want a home and a gaggle of foals and mares to love.
He almost sighs at this thought, turning his mind back to the mare he was to approach. He remembers the times they had, playing in the water and in general just being near one another. He smiles as he reaches out his nose to touch her. "Maddie." He says, huffing softly into her nostrils (as he felt no need ever to lurk and linger when one could just approach straight on.) "How've ya been?" He says with another smile and his wonderful brogue.
He doesn't say that he misses her, no, not yet, even though he did. He remembered the way she would make him laugh sometimes when he felt so unsure of himself. Remembered when he had his few mares that he was okay with them going into Kingdoms if they wanted, and he would more than happily stay at home playing with the foals. It made him smile and made his heart hurt at the same time. He had only had one foal, one little girl who made his whole world feel a tad more complete. But it was another time, and he was willing to try a little harder this time if that was what he needed.
