NO WINTER LASTS FOREVER

  I was alone except for with my first darling Blazing Sunfall, a mere filly, only half a year old. We had reached the falls with Ygritte, but I had lost track of her as soon as we entered the crowd.

  Would we find her? The only way was to stay near where we lost her and wait her out, I'll wander for food so Sunfall and I can survive, but otherwise we'll stay in the shadows..

  "Ygritte should find us soon. The Falls are still a small Kingdom, Sunfall, so be honored that you were welcomed here." I say to my darling, Sunfall, with an earnest but blunt tone in my voice and a loving but mature gaze upon her. "The toll of travel is on us both." She says, she's had more knowledge and more intelligence than the majority of foals her age since she was able to talk. I've been worried it would cause her trouble, but foals have seemed to seek her out for answers to things like "What's that black winged thing? Up there!" or "What would the father of my mother be called?" quite oftenly and with respect beyond most adult's expected amount.
