    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

The black girl laughs and laughs when her big sister starts and turns around to mock scold her. Leelee stopped in her bounding away to laugh until her sides hurt and she was out of breath. She hadn't gotten that far from her sister when she had stopped, so Mari was able to reach out and tug on her forelock. Her breath is warm against the black girl's face and she closes her eyes with the happiness it brings her. Of course startling her sister had been great as well.

(Sister. She had a sister. Two really. Mari and little Lissie who was such a doll.)

"I got you good Mari." She says with another laugh, opening those brown eyes to peer at her sister with amusement. She slides closer to the warmth and touches that Mari offers without a though, still soaking it up like it was the air she needed to breathe. Her ears flicker as Mari's words catch them and she rolls her shoulders in a little bit of a shrug. "I don't know. Off doing adulting things."

"Being boring." She says with a cheeky grin, her extroverted personality blossoming more every day she was away from the Den. She was almost the same size as Mari, but not quite, her back still was a few inches lower than the golden girl's. She was stuck in that awkward youth phase, where she was all long legs and small body, everything growing into itself with a straggly mane and tail to match.

"What are you doing out here Mari?" She tilts her head, ears flickering forwards as she asks, her lips parting as she nipped her sister lightly on her chest.

That awkward moment when you're laughing so hard but no noise comes out so you sit there clapping like a retarded seal.
