    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

It is as though the world has been turned inside out. One moment it is winter and the world is covered in a pearly white layer of snow and the next it is spring. Time has stretched, the world has warmed, and the landscape has been changed in it's entirety. Kingdoms are drawn up and taken away, the magic is swept into the mountains and within moments they are all there, standing on the rise of earth at the middle of their homeland, staring down into what is now entirely unknown. Slowly he looks to his left, noticing the pitch black mare he had so peacefully walked next to in the winter wonderland and with a soft sigh he steps towards her. "Do you know what has happened exactly?" He is too calm it seems, yet he has never been the type to allow his emotions to show. He had always been good at suppressing his nerves and anxiety so that the world around him would be unknown to them.

He doesn't know how she'll react when she realizes it's all gone, that it's all been changed by Beqanna herself. He doesn't have the unusual panic that most will have when they realize what had been gifted was now to be stripped away. For a moment he stands next to her, glancing around at quietly shifting bodies in the dark of the trees shade, "Are you okay? Or is an event like this normal?" He hadn't been here long enough to know, yet he had been here long enough to see that this world was much different then his own and had held much more powerful magic unlike that of which he had ever seen. For all he knew, this was a common occurrence every few years and it was nothing to worry about.

Yet how wrong he was and one day he would soon learn, maybe even now.

@[Kida] <3 sorry for the wait! Decided to start a new thread with them to incorporate the changes into it. hope that is alright!
