    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    forever in their lovers embrace

Although Newton had all of his senses in place he felt isolated from the world. His single connection to his family was washed away with little thought to him. The ice that he could turn into brought him home to the smell and temperature of the north. His gift also made him a clear representation of his parents. Newton regarded at Aranea’s quiet spirit. He gazed into her eyes, and oh how he recognized them. They looked like his own. She was a kindred spirit of sorts. Once she clued the two stallions in to her former home Newton stepped forward and caught her glance again. ”As we are from the Tundra we are allies with you. Our former king, Offspring, is bringing together the old alliances.” Newton warmly spoke.

”I’ve heard that Offspring has even talked to Eight.” Sahm added in. The name brought a sour taste to his lips. Eight was the magician that had almost killed him during the great Gates-Chamber war. It was Eight’s fault for Jason’s demise. Sahm was normally quick to forgive, but trusting the winged stallion would take much more time. ”Have you met up with any other valley members?” Sahm went onto ask. ”If you’d like we can take you to Offspring, if you’d like to join us.”
