Aten smiled at Loey, glad that she seemed to like what she saw of the Taiga so far. He was eager for her to see more of the land's beauty, but the leader seemed to have other plans.
Ruan practically materialized out of the shadows, his dark form a complete contrast to Aten's shiny gold coat. He remained quiet as Ruan greeted Loey with a warm smile, introduced himself, then went on to sneakily offered a compliment by saying that Aten was a good guide for leading her through the Forest and showing the rest of the Taiga to the dark milky-maned mare. The stallion surpassed a surprised cough; clearly, he hadn't been expecting Ruan to say anything like that.
In an effort to avoid embarrassing himself, Aten cleared his throat and offered a few words of his own, first to the leader of Taiga, "This is Loey. I found her when I made a trip to the Field. I offered her to come and look at the Taiga when she said she was looking for a home, and I wanted to see if she would like it here enough to stay. So far, she seems to like it," he added with a cheeky grin.
He then turned to Loey, "But, as Ruan says, there is a lot of the Taiga to see, and either myself, or Ruan I'm sure if I know him, would be glad to show you around," he said with a smile.
