The salt taste of her cheeks clings to his gums as he kisses her. He takes soft and tender licks along the ridgeline of her upper cheekbone until she speaks. Her exclamations of no reassure him for a moment, but it is the leaning in that gives him the biggest relief. Jason can feel his gentle touch loosen from its hold when Fiasko lowers her head. He shifts away for a brief moment. The warmth lingers, and he lowers his head so that his nose pushes upwards on hers. ”Don’t be silly..” He whispers beneath her.

Twice she asks him, and he finds humor in the inquiry. Why her? Of course her! It was an easy answer to him, but to put to words her perfection of qualities took far more effort than a simple kiss.
