Her body is slightly reluctant as the smaller bear asks where she had been, her smile gently fading from her expression "I'm not sure little one, I'm sorry you had to be alone" she leans in closer to the cub with a smile, gently tucking her in to a hug "Maybe I was just asleep for too long, you know us bears" she laughs gently before turning her attention to the grumbling going on inside the little one's stomach.
Her smile is quick to return as she listens to Aire speak, her emotions running rampant as she rose into the air "The bunnies, huh?" she laughs gently before leaning in closer to the cub "Listen little one. I can promise you that you will never get lost again. You've got me" she closes her eyes for a moment and processes her own feelings before bringing the cub into a tight hug, rising after a few moments, staring out toward the expanse of warm land "We should get that stomach sorted out, hmm?" she smiles as her gentle voice reaches the cub, turning toward the carcass that lay nearby "Have you ever tried meat? It's a good change from berries. Berries are tasty but they get boring after a while" she nods as her paw motions toward the food, her body remaining close to the cub, unable to even move off for a moment.
The mother moves off toward the carcass, sinking her snout into the warm flesh, gulping the meat down as she sits on her haunches, turning to the cub in order to invite her closer, her smile stained with blood as she turns back to the kill, sinking her black nose into the deer.
She wonders where the cub had been while she was asleep, what she had gone through and how she was able to find her.
Whatever it had taken, she was glad to be reunited with what meant the most to her, her smile still spread across her furry face.
