Once again, they are nothing; and, once again, Litotes is reminded of that. Even the taste of her blood in his mouth is nothing; even the feel of her hips against his chest is nothing.
They are nothing but a whirlwind of exhaustion and heat; still, the Archon refuses to regret this.
I need you . . . Her concession sends fire blooming in his chest. Adrenaline rushes through his veins and rings in his ears. The intensity of Starsin’s stare nearly sends him over the edge. It takes all of his self control to not tear into her right there. She finishes speaking all he can think is: was it not obvious how badly he wanted her? Has it not been clear from the beginning? There is a sigh of desperation ready to escape his chest, but Lie holds it in. If she did not know now, she will know soon.
“I will always want you, Starsin,” the cremello replies, voice husky and eyes matching the desire in her eyes. He presses his mouth to her hips, kisses sloppy and sweet against her skin. “Always,” he whispers. “Always.”
Her back feels right beneath him, her hips fit perfectly. Litotes sighs into her mane when he is inside her, eyes half-closed with pleasure. If he could tell her this is so much more than sex, he would, but he thinks he is incapable of uttering those words; his heart would sink if not for how well Starsin holds him up.
