    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Brynmor, any.
    #4
    With my speechless calm eyes,
    nothing is coming to rise.

Of course his offer still stood. He wasn’t the one to come back on his words, unless he had been the one that was wrong. In this case that didn’t matter; there was no right or wrong. All what mattered was that he was glad to see her back home again, because this was where she belonged. Something had driven her away, maybe her desire to contribute or do something for the kingdom, to be more than ‘just’ a mare, a companion. Something else had brought her back. And Brynmor was a little bit too happy to see the black mare again, but he just couldn’t help but to care for those which who he shared the love for a home with.

Xiah looked good too. The Chamber hadn’t been bad on her and she would probably have grown a lot too. Life experience was one of the greatest assets you could have. She’s no different though, but he couldn’t really say he had had the time to get used to the floating. Her way of flying was surely a special one, but it was a part of her. Just as the way she draws closer. Brynmor freezes, not really sure how to react to this. After all, his heart is promised to another, but this could also be an act of brotherly love, right? ”Welcome home, Xiah.” With that she’s a part of the Tundra again.

He offers her a smile, which grows to an amused grin as she continues speaking. She clearly hadn’t learned of the changes Offspring made, even though the Chamber was one of their close allies. It surprises him, the news of the change had travelled far, but it enjoyed him that he could be the one to bring the news to Xiah. Once she finishes he cannot help it but to chuckle lightly, only for a short moment, before his twinkling eyes meet hers again. Brynmor is only a little bit too excited for this. ”Then tell me. Where would you see yourself? As a powerful warrior or a fruitful diplomat?” he asks her, still not breaking the news. He wanted her to guess the answer and put one and one together herself.

Brynmor reaches out towards her, gently nudging her shoulder, before pulling away. ”Come, let us walk. It’s getting too cold to just stand still for too long.” It was not like the cold really bothered him, but the clouds promised more snow and the air around them was already getting crisp. The gray male liked it though, it was a part of the Tundra and naturally he loved all of her assets. And what was better than to enjoy everything the land had to offer than with those who you cared for?
