    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

LOVE COULD BE LABELED POISON AND WE'D DRINK IT ANYWAYS.
She doesn’t think she has ever shown her fairy dust to anyone else, and there is a secret delight at being able to show him. Dissolving in a rush of sparkling dust was one of the few things she liked about herself – it made her feel like she had the ability to turn into actual magic, into some physical representation of something that was usually invisible and intangible. She shows him, disappearing into a cloud of glittering pieces to swirl around him, before returning as herself with a laugh and bright, shining eyes. She didn’t use it all that often, since she rarely had anywhere else to go, and when she did, it was with Draco. It felt strange to be going somewhere without him, but she did her best to swallow that guilt away.

She is sure they would be back before her twin even notices she was gone.

She has never been anywhere besides Loess, Pangea, and Sylva, but she knows that they are going north. She follows Saphris, as nothing but a trailing, shimmering streak, following the feel of the electricity that hums from him. This was the furthest she has ever gone using her fairy dust, and when the pair finally lands and she is again solid and standing, she is momentarily disoriented, and almost breathless.

The sight of the charred land does little to ease her confusion. It was, indeed, bitterly cold, but it was not quite the winter landscape she had been anticipating, and so she assumes this was not it. “Why did we stop here?” She asks him in that high and sweet voice of hers, her navy blue eyes looking to him curiously.
