They come because the shadow master is there and that is all. They breathe in the scents of the strangers, of the odd white one that they have seen turn into one of their own kind. They stand apart, not with the meeting, but close enough to be seen. Watching as always. No sounds, no snarls, escape them - they fed before they came so they would not be tempted by any here (even if Anaxarete would allow them).
