To be in Pangea once more, to walk its hallowed, crimson halls as he once did—Litotes cannot help but be exhilarated whenever his eyes alight on something old and something new. The old lichen draped cave he called his residence as King, the creek bed beneath a ledge where he found Kensa giving birth, the random and wondrous rock formations created when the earth spit Pangea back out. It’s not the kingdom it was when he ruled it, but Litotes intends to change that.
For now, though, Lie is mostly quiet. Lost in thoughts of times past and pressing present and certain futures. He’s in a contemplative mood; and perhaps that’s why he finds his body shifting down into his lion form. Sighing, the lion plops himself in a small bit of shade and places his massive head on his paws. Two golden eyes glitter and gaze from within the black shadows curling lovingly around his body. He is content, at least for the next ten minutes.
Soon the sun moves in such a way that it beats heavily down on the once-king. He chuffs to himself and stretches, instinctively heading in the direction of the moss-draped cave he used to call home. The sun is setting when Lie finally arrives. A familiar figure outlines on the horizon. A quick breathe tells him who awaits:
“Austra!”
Lie jumps into a run and pounces on the lioness. He huffs out a hearty laugh as they roll and asks, “You’ve returned to Pangea! Where’s Cybil?”
as it softly glides across your back
and i hope you leave right before the sun comes up
so i can watch it alone
