    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

Aziz pushed on through the forest whinnieng as he went, the whinnies were loud and clear, this stallion was lonely and in need of a herd, he'd try to steal one but that would be too hard, the stallion started to trot up a hill and then cantered down, the stallion then haltef and let out one final whinnie before practicing his didplay, Aziz curvef his neck and let his mane flow, he lifted his legs high and displayed himself. Once Aziz was done he cantered down the hill and into the gully where the river flowed, the stallion started to slurp up the water, the proud stallion the stood still and watched as the trees swayed, today was very nice and his paint body was glistening in the sun, Aziz had loads of stamina but that somehow slowed his gallop, he was fast but defenatly not as fast as he should be, the stallion just stood there looking deeply into the water as mid day arrived.

Aziz started to walk up and out of the gully when he realised he was really hungry, Aziz plonked dwn his head to the grass and started to mow the short green tastyness, the stallion then lay down and warmed his pelt while the worst of the suns rays cooled down.

Black vixen watches the stud scornfully.
    Pathetic, lonely horse.
She stood a good distance from him, unnoticed, watching others go about their dealings with disgust.
Her nostrils flared, taking in the scent of the new land; mane and tail caught by the light breeze..
She kept to herself, her eyes fixed on the stallion laying in the grass..

The stallion lays in the grass, restimg, waiting, finally he gets up and put his hoof down shaking his neck and mane. The breeze carried his mane like a kite, he was like a splodge if paint on green, a proud young splodge of paint, now fresh the stallion rears whinnieng, he rears and bucks letting the energy drain out of him, the stallion then lets out one last loud whinnie and scented the air noticing a horse he hadnyyet seen, she was hidden but could be scented, the stallion lay back down on the grass once more grooming himself.

She watched him curiously and jumped as he whinnied.
Her ears twitched back and forth, a little edgily, as she hopped from hoof to hoof.
She wanted to inspect this animal, but felt hesitation..
Slowly she emerged, making herself visible, but not giving away the curiosity that lay within.
She assumed her defensive stance, eyes penetrating the surrounding the fields.
She began to graze lightly, ever vigilant to her surroundings..

The stallion sat up stopping the grooming, he now watched a mare not too far away, she was the one he scented, althougj she looked a bit like a stallion she was definitely a mare, she looked to be a good sturdy mare, she seemed to be grazing at the moment and so the stallion gave a low rumble and snorted telling her hes not a threat, the stallion stamped his hoof and starting to walk head high, the stallion didn't have too mich profile as he didn't want to be kicked in the face, Aziz gave a low rumble again as he neared her, she was like a magnet pulling a curios lover to her, the stallion halted about two heads away from the mare and snorted, the stallion then started to graze.

Ebon beauty glanced at the stud that had now spotted her. She continued to graze, carefully, keeping one eye on the approaching stallion..
As he rumbled and snorted her head rockets up, ears forward as she prances away from him. Snorts sharply with her tail over her back as if to say, 'and what gives you right to enter my space?'.
She, now a few feet away, nodded her head with ears pinned back and swished her tail as a mild warning, then returned to grazing, facing him, keeping her deep, piercing eyes on him, fixated as though fascinated by him..

The stallion backed away a few heads almost instantly, he was interested in this mare and so he started to graze too, the stallion was trying to get her to accept him into her space, he lofted his tail and held his head high before letting out a snort, then he drooped his neck and continued to graze, the stallion would look up ftom time to time making sure nothing was approaching them, the stallion then gave a very low whinnie asking her if he could cone closer, while doing this the stallion lifted his tail bone aswell

White Noise looked at the stallion in despise. The distance between them was close enough for now.
"Who are you? Why are you here?" she hissed at him, her nostrils wrinkled and eyes narrow.
She stopped grazing to await his reply. The sun shone on her black, sleek coat, warming her through.

Upon the stud's reply she turned away breaking eye contact that had established.
"I am White Noise." she said distantly, remembering the last time she introduced herself, which seemed an age ago..
