"I feel as though you will enjoy it here, Zephyr." He spoke.
"I already do." Zephyr grinned, nudging him gently with her head as if to say 'it's because of you.' She continued by his side, letting him guide her in the direction of the volcano.
The change in temperature was sudden and unanticipated - the air grew heavy and the heat more intense. Sweat seeped through her pours, dampening the fur around her chest and neck. She took a deep breath; she had never roamed this close to the volcano before, and she wasn't expecting how the air would make her feel like there was a ten pound weight resting on her chest. A feeling, she supposed, she would just have to get used to.
"If you find Tephra does not suit you, we can always go elsewhere." Krigare spoke, as if reading her mind. She hesitated to speak.
She adored Tephra - how it stayed unusually hot, the smell of ash and sea, how it was full of the tropical greenery that she loved. She wanted to stay.
"I will just have to get used to the heat around here, that's all." She replied timidly, taking in the ashy air around her.
