    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

    Astarael
    herald of death

…Jesper had a little lamb, little lamb, little lamb…

Jesper had thought that his torment had been ended with his ‘escape’. He thought that he’d been freed from the reach of their malice. How wrong he was. The dunskin and white mare would make a tast snack and one that Astarael was eager to devour.

Waiting patiently at the edge of Sylva, she remained hidden just out of sight. Enveloped in shadow. She expected to see her newest plaything only momentarily. The woods around her seethed with the scent of lust and sex as the horses within her kingdom busied themselves with the creation of the next generation. There was a good chance that Jesper’s lover would also be newly with child. Hopefully their reunion had been…fruitful.

Gathered around her hooves, tickling strands of red fear stretched itself thinly throughout the pattern of grass, feeling for any sign of life. It was hungry and overly eager to feed off the terror it would birth.

    …Whose blood will surely flow…

Darling, you have no idea what's possible...

It wasnt easy, leaving him behind. She had said goodbye, and made love to him on the beach, tears flowing freely as she made her leave. It was her turn though, and she had wanted to return to Sylva since the day she left... just not like this.  Not after all he had been through there. But the painted woman walks confidently into the forest where the demon queen waits.

She has heard much about the demoness, and is not surprised when the forked tongues of her aura wraps confidently around her ankles, snaking evil into her heart. It cripples her and her heart squeezes achingly. The paralysis awakens her mind and images from her youth flash violently across her lids. Her mother is there, ushering her into the safety pf the forest, her muzzle close to her ivory temple, soft words echoing loud enough to break the haze.

'There is no need to fear the world...no need.'

And the buckskin lady is striding forward once more, her bodice pulling itself upwards confidently.

"You may as well stop now Astrael." Lamb speaks as she emerges from the blood stained trees. Her head is held high, and her ears are turned forward , awaiting whatever the night huntress had to say.

"I'm no fool, your games are pointless to me woman." Her voice is colder than it had been mere hours ago as she lay breathless on the Ischian shoreline.

As Her voice dies down and the forest is deathly silent once more, Lavendel begins to eye  the bay before her and drinks in the image of the witch. Jesper had spoken of what the wicked bitch had done to the forest. About what they (her minions) had done to the forest. Despite the small licking fear that drug at her ankles, the splashed female steps forward, moving to stand face to face with the evil before her.

"What happened to you ,Wicked Thing?" She whispers, pale hues seeking any hint of the woman Astrael had once been. Her mother had always told her that  greed did ugly things, but she never imagined it to do this to a person....

With that she steps away and waits what the winged woman would say, what evils she would try and sic upon her.

((Im so excited for this!!! Feel free to have Ast harm her and call her names, she's confident now but im sure it'll fade here soon xD ALSO to clarify, the aura is working Lamb is just trying to ignore it by talking))

    Astarael
    herald of death

Fear was not easily manipulated. Nor was it deceptive. Pure in its cruelty it all began the same, terror hidden behind false confidence. Smiling maliciously where she stood beneath the shade of her barely lit forest, Astarael watched as her newest toy forced bravery upon her face. Beneath her predictable facade, there was a niavity there. The darkness surrounding her was not convinced. Dancing within the mare's peripherals, the only sign of the queen's presence remained the persisting of her aura as it clung to Lavendel's petite figure.

Admittedly, she was pretty, in a plain sort of way. Once a Sylvan under the rule of Sabra, the new queen sensed the forest's new rejection of her. Twisting and writing underfoot, its restless energy begged to sink its fangs into the soft of her hide. The autumnal woods no longer recognized the powers that had once reigned over it.

Fool or not, Lavendel willingly wandered into the awaiting arms of her captor. Though, perhaps the mare knew it would have been folly for her to attempt to evade her fate. Had she, Astarael knew that Crevan would have been delighted to escort her there personally. Perhaps Lavendel would not have appeared as...radiant as she would have otherwise. The wolf had his way of encouraging cooperation.

Confidently, the queen broke into her prisoner's view, a crisp grin slathered on her face. Dear Little Lamb, have you grown weary of my games already? she pouted dramatically. But we've barely begun!

In the blinking of an eye, her decietfully friendly expression melted into one far more menacing. Staring unflinchingly she listened to the prisoner's commentary upon her appearance, priding in the effect it had upon the unsuspecting. Wicked was a tame way to describe all that Astarael had become. Attempting to distance herself from the demoness, Lavendel took the smallest of steps away. Mirroring the movement, the queen closed the gap, her aura only growing stronger the closer she stood.

Don't be shy! She encouraged with falsified sweetness heavy upon her tone. I have been eagerly awaiting your arrival, Little Lamb! After all, you are practically family now. Just call me Aunty Ast. And, if my suspicions are correct, pregnant too? I don't mean to be forward, but Jesper was gone for so long!

Nearing Lavendel even more, she stood uncomfortably near her emerald gaze planted firmly upon the painted mare's rounded middle. Hello? Anybody in there? Have you come to join your Great-aunty's collection?

Darling, you have no idea what's possible...

@[Lavendel] I had way too much fun with this!
