the firestarters always get the burns
and the good guys never get the girl
Her visit to Tephra had been... insightful. And meaningful, like she used to be. Smiling to herself, she's happy that she had went out to find Magnus - their encounters in the field had her believe already that indeed, they would match in personality easily. To find Jude had been a delight also; but now she had remembered what it was like to be an Ambassador, and she remembers the other kingdoms she'll soon have to visit.
And the adoption den, of course. Like she used to.
She always visited at least once yearly - halfway through, or near the end of, spring. Making sure no children of late birth were left there, to spend their whole childhood with the fairies. Although Lullaby, a friend of Tähti's, had not gotten anything bad out of that, it still just didn't feel entirely right with Ilma. Some children might feel so unwanted - like Ember.
No, that wouldn't do. And so, she made her way in today as well. Sure enough, one tiny voice came to her, and when she found him, she couldn't help but grin to herself.
A palomino roan foal. Was it going to be just her thing to adopt cremello's and palomino's until she finally had some of her own? It seemed almost likely. Nearly a joke of the universe to keep Svedka away from her and instead bring her Leokadia (though only briefly) and now this colt.
A gentle soul is what she is, and this palomino-and-white boy was just the cutest. Perfect match, so to say. She makes her way over to him quickly, the sunlight wings folded neatly unto her back because she doesn't want to scare him with those. Her white nose brushes his silvery-golden sticky mane as she takes in his scent. "Do you have a name, little one?" she asks softly. Her face lifted a little to look him over - he was healthy, and he might get horns later she thinks, but right now he was pretty harmless.
