    COTY

    Assailant -- Year 226

    QOTY

"But the dream, the echo, slips from him as quickly as he had found it and as consciousness comes to him (a slap and not the gentle waves of oceanic tides), it dissolves entirely. His muscles relax as the cold claims him again, as the numbness sets in, and when his grey eyes open, there’s nothing but the faint after burn of a dream often trod and never remembered." --Brigade, written by Laura

It was never a part of Tiasa’s plan to ever come back to this place. The bright sky and the warm ocean did not call to her, they were not her home. Even though she looked as though she belonged here, with the bright tropical flowers in her mane and tail and the graceful sea glass horns arching out of her head.

She looked like a piece of these islands, crafted to life, and then chipped away.

But she scorns all of it. She has managed to live a handful of years without joining her family, except visits with her mother but those occurred always on the mainland. Although she does not feel the absence of her father, she does long for company.

So she has come, but not to stay. She has come to see if she can chip off another piece of these islands and take it away.

When she sees the slightly younger girl, it feels like fate. She suspects it’s a sister of hers and when she moves forward through the jungle she paints on a shimmering smile. “Hey there.” Her voice is sweet and soft. “Not feeling like swimming in the ocean today?” She gestures to the sunset shores behind her.
