    Aela -- Year 216

"So she smiles prettily and steals away when she can. Feels the brutal pounding of others around her with a savagery that she has never comprehended—their emotions so vast, their hearts so wicked. It warps her more than she was already warped. It presses a thumbprint of cruelty into her darkness, shaping her into a thing of shadow, a thing of longing, a thing carved from the darkness between every breath." --Baptiste, written by Laura

i let the bad parts in; any vulelis
    i will be brutal
“Grandfather,” she says, drawing his gaze to meet hers. Larva studies her expression for a while before bridging the distance between them. He always hesitates to address the children that he so easily finds himself in, but he offers a gentle brushing of his muzzle to her temple. She does not soften at the gesture but rather bristles at his touch. The old serpent tilts his head and reconsiders her for a while.

You’re more tense than usual. What’s on your mind?” he asks, shifting his weight. Sabbath’s jaw remains clenched and then she finally clears her throat.

“A cousin from the east paid a visit to the witch. Did you know?” she asks, eyes narrowing. Larva has done little earn her distrust but he prefers his descendants to be on their guard. He had, after all, warned his son and the Tephran children of his brother. (The word causes his lip to curl up until his teeth are bared.) Their relationship could be misinterpreted to anyone not privy to his innermost thoughts.

I didn’t. Do you know what they discussed?” But she only shrugs her shoulders. Maleficar would not reveal the secrets shared and bargains made. Larva traces his tongue over his pointed teeth as he begins to pace back and forth in thought.

“We should visit the north. Adna is there, and I want to keep her safe,” Sabbath explains with the heat of her anger curling the edges of her words. He nods and sighs slowly. He is only dimly aware of the tension between the two, but he has little interest in the past. Larva’s concerns remain acutely focused on whatever lies ahead of them, now.

this is just IC development for Larva and Sab to go north.
