catnip
Don't forget your truth, she murmurs to herself, lilac eyes slitting in the focus of a skilled plant-whisperer. At each of her sides hover two shimmering, silvery shadows - blinking and winking, little yellow eyes peer at her surroundings. She hardly pays them mind, only allowing them enough space to just BE there as look outs. Cat's chest heaves with the force of her work, eyes now closed as the first sprigs of a dogwood burst from the supple soil at her hooves.
It's focused, quiet moments like these that she needs her ghostly guards. And they simply do the trick, even if they do not match the sprightly creature she is.
Above the trio, a full moon glows amongst clustered and glittering stars. When the dogwood stands before her as young, healthy being heaping with leaves and flowers and a sturdy trunk, Cat slumps against the wood still warm with her magic. She looks up at the sky now, pale eyes reflecting the sparkle of the misty, dewy stars. A smile, private and sweet, lifts her lips as a few stray petals flutter around her head. She'd call the flowers down as a pillow if she wasn't already so tired.
"Mhmmm," she hums to herself, tired eyes fluttering up and down in the slow way of exhaustion. "Hmmm?" she says sleepily, not entirely registering the noise of another when it hits her ears.
