m a z i k e e n . Mazikeen had not paid the entities much attention, she had been honest about that much. There had been far too much else on her mind - there still was, really. This small moment carved out of a day to visit them feels like too much. It feels like she is doing something wrong. But she has remembered that one of them will give gifts to children - and since she cannot or will not go to Tephra she will send this in her stead. The one she needs does not have a placeholder near the others but that seems as good of a spot as any to stand, to make her request. She stops near the statue and the burning tree, her scarred face turning away from the lake and to the distant border where this entity does its work. This entity that does not recognize the Curse as a threat but will now be the one to bless her children? Mazikeen tries not to think about it, tries not think about any of it. It is easier when she doesn’t, when she lets her thoughts turn into a white noise where she cannot distinguish one of them from the other. And in that state, like she is wishing on a star - something she cannot remember doing - she wishes for something that will make them strong, make them safe, make them healthy, or make them happy. The horned mare is no longer sure in which order she would prefer those things, if she is forced to choose between them. Safe, she thinks. Safe and healthy on the other side of Beqanna. Far away from her.
