The pair of griffins are indistinguishable, and not until Malik returns to his normal (equine but still iridescent black and partially feathered) shape does it become clear which of them has come to the Mountain with a request.

Well, thinks the true griffin, there are certainly things that he wants, but none of them are solvable by little magicians that hide inside the mountain.

Malik though, is eagerly surveying the peak ahead of him. His young eyes - one blue and one orange - are wide with awe. He has grown up in Hyaline and is no stranger to mountains, but this one dwarfs even the tallest peaks of his homeland. The boy takes a breath, and looks back at his companion.

“You stay here. I’ve got to do this by myself, I think.” He tries not to sound worried, and almost succeeds. The griffin trills a soft sound, something that Malik thinks sounds almost reassuring. He turns, and begins to climb the mountain.

It is not easy, and the colt is near exhaustion when he reaches the place that Feels right. Must he say something aloud, the boy wonders? Or do they already know that he is here, wanting more than anything to be a more capable shifter and make his parents proud.

He needs to say nothing at all, though sometimes she enjoys when they talk at the air hoping it'll work. This one is smarter, perhaps (it's hard to be certain sometimes what really counts as 'smart') and keeps silent. She comes without her usual fanfare, simply appearing before him out of thin air, which, if one thinks about it, is certainly it's own type of fanfare. "You don't even offer an excuse as to why you want more power?" Her smile is wry, difficult to interpret if she is annoyed or pleased by this particular fact. "Go then, and find me four pieces of some of the things you so wish to become. A feather, a claw, whatever glitters and catches your eye." An odd request for her, but she's growing tired of telling them to learn lessons they never learn. Instead, let him fight for it.

Bring Wysteria 4 objects that represent animals/plants/objects that Malik wants to be able to shift into. These items should not just happen to be laying on the ground where he lives, but must involve taking other horses on these little quests, finding the animal/plant/object and having to take/bargain for/steal/go through some obstacles to get to/whatever to actually get it.
