The magic has felt her in the water, has known her long before she’d come. It slips around her now, at first as warm and light as the pressure of water just below a summer surface. But it grows quickly tighter, squeezing and chilling as though she sinks ever deeper into and endless sea.

And then as rapidly as it had come, the pressure is gone, replaced by a painless jolt of sensation just behind Deiti's ears. It is followed slowly by an increasing futility of breath, one that will be relieved only while in the water.

Live in the water like you so desire, the fairy whispers in a voice like dripping rain and crashing falls, ’See if you are truly ready to abandon the land.’

You have not received a quest, and Deiti now has temporary gills that will restrict her to living in the water for the next two RL weeks, when you can petition again. She can still be on land for short periods of time or not be able to breathe air at all; the intensity of the effect is up to you!
